Re: Scr8p's shop
I just can't believe that would be a Wednesday night car! Looks a lot nicer than that.

Re: Scr8p's shop
Isn't that the one that got rear-ended shortly after you built it, or was it a cream colored one?

Re: Scr8p's shop
That was the gold one. It had only been done for a month and the guy took it on the Hot Rod Power Tour. On the second to last day he got tagged by some lady in an SUV.

Re: Scr8p's shop
Well, it only got up to $55k. I'm kind of surprised, but last night, nothing was really pulling big numbers.

Re: Scr8p's shop
Good to hear that it sold, not quite what it is worth maybe. That was not televised correct?

Re: Scr8p's shop
It would've been on TV, but they went to commercial just as it was rolling up on stage. I watched it on the live feed though.

Re: Scr8p's shop
I hope you made a decent profit on the 442. That car is nicer than it was when it left the factory. As a Chevy fan I'm looking forward to seeing more of that sweet Chevelle.

Re: Scr8p's shop
There was definitely no profit made on that car. But we only build them..... the loss of money is not our problem.
I haven't been very good at taking pics of the chevelle for whatever reason. But it's all painted, body back on the frame, engine and trans in, headliner and door panels are in, still plenty left to do.
On the 62 bubble top, the body is done, back on the frame and ready for paint. But i'm going to wait until spring to start that. It's just to much of a pain to paint stuff in winter. Big stuff anyway.
Also getting started on the next body off resto. A 72 442 vert.

Re: Scr8p's shop
Also just finished up a small repair job on a 70 Superbird. The car was restored many years ago by someone else. The rear body panel was full of bondo (thick at spots) and it was cracking out from the letter holes. So we ground it all out, straightened the metal and started over.
Winter painting sucks.... And back together...

Wow! It's like a trip to Disneyland in there.
That 396 is sweet and the 409 even sweeter. Thanks for posting the pics.

Re: Scr8p's shop
Love me some Vette's. Jason, what are you working on?
Are the best cars in the auction left for last? The Barret-Jackson event is what I am referring to. Anymore cars you have restored on the block this time around?
