wing mounts
does anyone know what wing mount is used with the RC carbon works rear tower that has the additional holes? My wing keeps coming out of the wing tubes so I'd like to change how I mount it. The only thing ive seen close so far is the B5M wing mount but im not sure if it will fit.

Re: wing mounts
I believe I read somewhere that he uses B4 mounts... drop him a line, he's super friendly

Re: wing mounts
who?
I considered the B4 mount but it relies on the transmission as the 2ndary mounting point. unless im seeing the wrong one. The B5M is based solely on mounting to the shock tower. I'm also seeing an HPI wing mount that might work too.

Re: wing mounts
I like these. I'm guessing the rear of the body gets hacked off if you use the B4 mount. How are you guys mounting the body with this setup?

Re: wing mounts
they use the kyosho wing mounts. You will have to trim the body in the rear for the wing mounts to protrude, basically oval holes to fit them through. shouldn't have to remove the whole rear section.
Re: wing mounts
I think JK Racing used this same rear tower. Cant remember which wing mounts used, But he was able to cut out just enough ob the body for the wing mounts to poke through

Re: wing mounts
I have used B5m mounts with mione with no issues. Just start both screws and go back and forth until it is tight.

Re: wing mounts
on a side note, the b5m mount is just like the zx-5 mount but it doesnt stick out as far.
i guess the one good thing about this thread is it let me to find a way to mount a wing on my rustler w/o modifying parts

Re: wing mounts
I'm running the ZX-5 mounts on mine, works great. And yes, you just need a couple slots in the body for them to poke though.

Re: wing mounts
There are some photos in my World's ReRe build thread where I used the B5M mounts on the carbon works tower.

Re: wing mounts
The b5m mounts look good on there. My zx5 mounts are getting pretty beat up, maybe I'll replace them with the 5m mounts when the time comes
