Agreed, they were a bargain. I bought 2 sets for just that reason! I have a whole bunch of spares now, prob enough to build another car complete, and I just picked up a standard length graphite chassis a few weeks back. The builds never end....
I have been lurking for some time and decided to say hi. I have been into RC since the late 80's, at that time my grandfather gave me an old Blackfoot that started it all. Once I started getting RC Car Action mags...

Awesome. Thanks guys! I agree about the Jrx-2 with lowered suspension. It just looks fastastic.
Found a few oddities with my two kits. The newest one with the orange sticker is a front wheel drive version and the other is a rwd version. Both boxes are printed properly stating 2wd without using a sticker however they still show and speak of the...

Nice build. Obviously, a labor of love. Just picked a T3 roller off Ebay myself for use on my backyard grass track oval. This is a good reference thread. Cheers. AC
I picked this up locally from a craigslist ad. A real nice guy named Jeff. Interestingly, Jeff also has a whole bunch of vintage Tamiya stuff listed here, including a Super Champ and a mint Subaru Brat. Looks like a great package deal!

This car will be a runner so just about everything on it is recycled. It was fun making this into a cool rig after it starting as such a beater. I am debating on what body to use so I threw on this ruined Optima Mid shell just to see how it looks....
