Richard Petty Driving Experience Indy Motor Speedway

I waited for almost 1 year to do the Richard Petty Driving Experience at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and yesterday was the day. It rained off and on throughout the day but I was lucky enough to get my 10 laps in. They had the Experience cars turned down a touch because it was sprinkling rain during my run. Usual top speeds are 140mph but I was still able to go 136mph. Felt like 175+, especially entering the corners.
Having been to many time trials and a few races at IMS, the long history of the speedway is real special. If you have never seen Indy cars run there, it is quite the spectacle. 230+ down the straights is blazing. The facility itself is like no other speedway by a long shot.
My oldest took a few videos during the 50 degree breezy day. I'm in the yellow #14 Sprint car. I'll add a youtube link of another guy who uploaded his entire in car audio/video. I highly recommend doing this if you ever get the chance. I'll definitely be doing it again!

Looks like a good time! I had the pleasure of doing this at the Disney Speedway in Orlando. What a blast. If you have the chance... do it!!!!

Awesome. I would love to do this someday. The closest I have come to this was pace laps around Watkins Glen in a Subaru Outback Sport. Not quite the same, but even that was a ton of fun.
