Dave's Brushed Motors

Hi Guys,

I have these 3 Brushed motors,

1) Big Jim Greenemeyers Mach One

2) Trinity Slot Machine 2

3) Trinity Monster Horse Power 1985 World Champion

I was wondering if someone would know something about them?

How many winds are they and are they good motors?

The Trinity is a 27 turn stock motor. It's nothing compared to any motors out there today but in the late 80's that was my motor of choice.

I have worked out the Big Jim motor is the only rebuildable motor the other two are sealed cans?

I am trying to work out if one of these motors is suitable for a oval build.

Yes slot machine is later model 27t stock motor and the monster stock was an earlier legal stock motor.

What era dirt oval?

Thank you for pointing out in one of your posts that oval racers should have black arms, because of

that I have just dyed the arms on my 40 Ford Oval racer.

I must say I think it looks much better anyway!

I was thinking of using the Big Jim's motor in my Sprint Car project.

Do you know what wind it would be and would it be era correct.

I have a Magnum Sport or a Hitec Lynx radio, I was hoping to use as well, is this o.k?

I have a Novak T4 the only brushed speed control I have but I don't think this would be correct as it

is a entry level speed control?

It's hard to say on a mod motor without opening it up. I also can't say much about the era correctness, except that the endbell looks later than earlier. If I were building an early car, the monster stock would be in it for sure. ~early to mid 90's go for the slot machine. Not sure about the Jim's.

T4 is a good match for the monster stock, decent early esc. You would have seen lots of them at the club level

The radios were called the same thing for many generations. Pics might help

I was going to use the monster stock at first in my BBT Sprint Car, I will go with that just because I

like the name.

The T4 I need to replace the wires as they have been cut short, but I am pretty sure it still works,

will need to test.

The Magnum Junior radio system I already have, it has 10/93 on the back so it should be o.k?

I am not planning to run this car much at all, I just felt it needed vintage electrics.
