Re: Kyosho and Titan
The first one certainly looks futaba-ish to me... the second one, no idea!

Re: Kyosho and Titan
I may just split the cases on both when I get a chance. They are both screwed together, maybe they have an identifying stamp of some kind inside. Didn't one of the big companies mark their boards? Novak maybe?

Re: Kyosho and Titan
So I uncased both controllers, and nothing really The Kyosho has 333e on the underside of the board, and a raised "KYOSHO" molded into the bottom of the case. The Titan has no markings on neither the case or board. Anyone else have anything. Really the dates sold would be great.
Thanks

Re: Kyosho and Titan speed control ID help!?!?
Hey guys I was hoping I'd get a bit more input on the Kyosho unit. I did take both apart to see if the circuit boards reveled anything, but nada. I do recall seeing the Kyosho esc's in the tower hobbies catalogs back in the day, but I cannot for the life of me recall dates, even close. A guess would put it mid to late 80s, as I think my first Tower order was in 86, does that sound close or accurate to anyone.
What I am trying to accomplish is completing my Tomahawk with a clean vintage runner package not only for display, but also if a day comes when my son just has too see it run, only a charged battery stands in the way (lol I do not want a stuck mechanical sc sending it speeding to its death!). I realize any of the esc's would be out near the end of the Tomahawks past competition life span, but if the Kyosho unit I have is the same vintage as say the Novak 4 then I'd rather have it in there. It does have a Futaba G connector on it which is vintage esq and will match the rest of the radio gear I want to use.
Anyhow enough BSing, any help here would be much appreciated.
Thanks guys
Trey

Did some digging and found a 1989 reference in the scans section. Thanks all for the resources here!! and once again the stroll down memory lane during the search!
