I bet you get asked "Is that a flashlight in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?" all the time... :P

Bumping my thread, not sure if anyone saw this auction. The price far surpassed anything I'd want to spend, but a 7C Maglite is pretty damn rare hence the bidding.

I bought a new drop-in from Malkoff Devices that will do 700 lumins in my 6D Maglite, but I need to convert to nimh batteries (3 of them) plus 3 dummy cells so I haven't tried it yet.

I may have mentioned it before, but do yourself the favor and purchase one of these: http://tacticalhid.info/e03
Along with one of these: http://www.batteryjunction.com/14500.html

It is the best light I've had thus far. Super compact. Crazy good price too. 500 lumens out the front that you have to see to believe.

I use Led Lenser and Peli. Peli because of the UL in harzardous areas (gas) and Led Lenser for pure daylight power :-)

I upgraded my MagLite 4D last year.
I purchased a Malkoff LED drop-in [malkoffdevices.com],
and a crystal clear lens from somewhere else.

I still run it on regular D-cell [alkaline] batteries, but it is Bright!
A huge improvement over the stock setup!
