Thanks, I'm happy with how they turned out.

The total length is the same as the numerous sets of original Schumacher shocks I have, but the longer body means they have less travel. This may or nay not be an issue, but they're definitely smoother.

Regarding the finish, the pics do flatter them a bit. One of the rears in particular was badly pitted.

The Pro Cat manual suggests to put a 6mm peice of tube to step up the lower spring retainer on the front - so effectively restricting the travel of the shock, I'm sure the same amount of movement can be replicated with added internal limiters & less (or no) added spacers beneath the spring retainer with using the Kyosho shocks. When I build up my std Schumacher shocks I will try & determin what is needed to get the same movement with the Golds.... Since the latter do operate more smoothly

Trinity rear diff just prior to assembly. Alloy outdrives have internal bearings and I'm using a pro thrust bearing with four cone washers.

Assembled rear diff with completed MMS front diff. Nylon outdrives, again with pro thrust bearing and four cone washers.

Transmission sideplates assembled with MMS alloy eccentrics and PBK alloy layshaft bearing holders.

Shiny what did you use

They were a mess to start with, so I used decreased, 1200 wet and dry, 3 grades of wire wool pads on the Mouse and then some manual polishing with metal polish and finally a bit of Brasso.

No effort at all!

It's all worth the effort in the end. What's that heatsink I have a mms one similar but it's black and a different shape

No idea who made the heatsink unfortunately. I also have an MMS one, but it looks like somebody got hungry ans started to chew it...
