I think I'm finally done.........
My original 1994 RC10CE was resurrected last March, and has been ripped up and redone a couple of times since, but I think I have the final configuration now. Of course, the only original pieces left are the rear buklhead, transmission top shaft and the slipper assembly.
The following I built myself:
-4mm carbon fiber chassis
-two-into-one 6061-T651 nose brace
-7075-T6 rear arm mounts
The rest is:
-RPM front & Rear arms, RPM ball cups
-Losi Mini 8ight stainless turnbuckles
-3mm carbon fiber towers
-New Worlds black motor plate and nose plate
-CVDs
-JC Racing 5 spoke wheels with Suburbs MC in back and Dirt Webs Gold up front
-DHawk aluminum trans housing & diff gear
-RPS alloy bellcranks
-Losi TLR-22 big bore shocks
-All stainless or blue FT hardware, save for a couple of grade 8 screws
-Leopard 3430 KV 4 pole motor
-AE SC1200BL ESC
-(currently) Kyosho KS200MG servo, soon to be an Atomik HD-1207TG high torque titanium geard shorty servo
I had built hub carriers from 7075-T6 as well, but a slight misalignment caused them to eat bearings in short order, so new standard plastic carriers went back on until I have time to do those again, this time with a quality counterbore and made to accept 1/4x1/2" bearings.
As an aside, that Leopard motor may not have been expensive, but it's smooth for a sensorless and VERY powerful.

Re: I think I'm finally done.........
that's pretty cool. That is an interesting way to brace the nose of the car
Re: I think I'm finally done.........
That's a nice car you have made!
You should replace the few remaining original parts and put your original CE back together.

I might, but many of the parts were upgraded on account of breakage. It's not like I have a whole CE in a box minus the few parts still on this one. I'd need arms, arm mounts, turnbuckles, shock towers...............You should replace the few remaining original parts and put your original CE back together.

I have a full set of arms (wide black front, RPM rear) and arm mounts (black front, 0 degree rear) I don't need. Let me know if you're interested. It would be cool if you could put your original car back together.
