TQ10 FRONT BUMPER/ CHASSIS PROTECTION OUT OF CARBON

Post by Jerzi »

Okey boys.
I think every one has problem with the front end.
Today I started to make an U formed bumper made out of carbon.
Some pics to share but tomorrow it will.be ready.

Looks good although I'm not sure it will resist a mild shock even. A bumper should be tough and flexible. Why don't you post all your work in one thread? Would be much nicer to follow and find back. Just a suggestion...

Good idea but I have so much projects going on all the time so I think if I put everyone in one place it could be to much in one place.
I think this is not an bumper, more like an front protector.
Now it is ready and looks good.

That TQ10 chassis looks a lot like my graphite chassis. I'm trying to figure out a way to protect my chassis too now. I had a JP front bumper, It goes down to the bottom of the chassis. It only had the 2 countersunk mounting holes that go into the top bolts of the arm mounts. you really need to make it match widths with the chassis otherwise it will still get damaged. I have scratch marks on that JP bumper than can prove it lol

It's not a TQ10 chassis but rather a Graphite one. The TQ10 was a non woven carbon plate with angled corners (not rounded).
