did those metal front ends(front axle) come in molded plastic also? if so are they more rare?

is the red cap on the tank something that can be found at a hardware store? im missing mine and im not sure where I could find one or something similar. thanks

No they can't be found at a hardware store. The original part is a associated sp1000 it's original use is a aircraft caplug.
