Re: GOT ICE?
Nice wheels. Wonder how they got those chains on the wheels?

Re: GOT ICE?
It's for doing donuts around someone's ice fishing shack.
I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.

Re: GOT ICE?
Forget the chains...anyone know what wheels those are? It looks like it's just chainsaw chain cemented onto the rims with CA.

Re: GOT ICE?
HI!... Some are saying that the rims are aluminum. Also it look like the chains have been cut to length and fastened with a nut/bolt. You can see it in the pic. Doubt there is any C/A glue involved.

Re: GOT ICE?
I noticed that too, but if they weren't cemented on, what would prevent the chains from just slipping around the wheel rim? That's a lot of torque for merely being fastened on with a bolt. I like the style of the wheels, it would be nice to know the brand/model and specs.THE H.P FREAK wrote:HI!... Some are saying that the rims are aluminum. Re: GOT ICE?
I'm guessing so, but it's still the first time I've seen that particular method. Looks very cool and purposeful. The thing I think is the coolest is the perspective and quality of the photo. I've seen so many great R/C cars in my time that I'm kinda over it. At this point for me personally, I'd like to see them presented to me in a more artistic form. Great pic and great name for his model.Coelacanth wrote:Forget the chains...anyone know what wheels those are? It looks like it's just chainsaw chain cemented onto the rims with CA.
