UF1 Midwest comes to Alpha RC Raceways Carbondale IL

This weekend the 25th and 26th Alpha rc raceway will be hosting the UF1 midwest series on two different points races held on each day. This should be a good time if you are in the area and just want to see what RC F1 is all about. The F1 racing will be held in addition to our regular club program which includes VTA,touring car and 1/12th scale. There is also an endurance race going on during one of the days. We are located at 900 West Sycamore in Carbondale IL 62901. If you need any further info PM me or post up in here.

I can't make the trip out to see the UF1 race, but please keep us posted how it turns out. I would especially like to see pics of the cars/event if you have time as I've always wanted to race F1 (but no one races the class in the North East).

I liked the video, rubber slicks for tires? I could get into this racing.

Yeah they use rubber tires for the scale look. They have been using pardus brand rubber for the series but I think they are looking to change for the next series.

Thanks for posting the F1 race.

I've heard rumors that F1 is going to start up in CT as Tony Phalen has moved here from CA. I've got my fingers crossed that this will happen.
