Re: #6002
I'm not Slotcarrod, but when I boil parts, I bring water to a boil on the stove, put the parts in a pan or tray (not over a heat source), and pour the water over the parts so they're submerged. The water stays quite hot the whole time. I've heard that near-boiling water is better than boiling water. I don't know about that, all I know is that this has quite effectively made my old parts more flexible and stronger.shane wrote:slotcarrod,

Just boil the parts in water! This will make them nice and strong again! An original runner is still better than a rere!
boiling parts still isn't a new kit... i boiled my team car and it helped, but still isn't as durable as a new parts. A used kit from the 90's ain't as nice as new kit.

Re: #6002
This so sweet. I got my pre-order in and as far the rear bulkhead I have a new worlds bulkhead and RPM bulkhead waiting for her when she comes home.

Re: #6002
Is that a molded black plastic gear cover
Edit: Just looked up the B4 gear covers....didn't realize that AE switched to black gear covers on the new cars....thought they were all still clear lexan.
Also looks like they made white rear hub carriers for 3/16" axles. Guessing it's 1.5 degree mounts + 1.5 degree carriers.

Re: #6002
I hope these are not going overpriced repops, Because I think TT/ associated could easily create a class for these. Priced right with plenty of spares and lets all go racing!
Re: #6002
$279 for them. $245 at Tower if you are a Super Saver member.

Re: #6002
I am kind of glad I waited on building my Classic now. I was torn between building a shelf queen or a runner. Now my personal dilemma is solved! And I think it will save me a bunch of money in the long run since the upgrades offer a lot better starting point for racing. My local track is almost all SC trucks and the buggy class has two or three cars and one is normally a 4wd and they run with the 2 or 3 stadium trucks that show up. I will run one of these just for fun with those guys.

Re: #6002
I had to look twice at my order...but it has a big red outlined box with big words at the end that says the $75 off $500 order will be applied when items SHIPPED reach $500. I swear I must be blind because I looked at the order screen for 5 minutes before I saw where it said it. In the top part where it totals everything it doesn't show the discount. Kind of confusing how they do it.Johnboy72 wrote:So stupid question, but can only use one coupon per purchase. Like I want to pre order two so just use the 011T7 code? Cause it's not showing $400 something. More like $559. Or does the amount change when they charge me? I always forget about the coupons and have never used them. As a matter of fact earlier I pre ordered two, then saw the comments on here. Sorry for the stupid question.

Re: #6002
For some that are curious about using a coupon code multiple times, it let me do it. I ordered a B5 kit early last week and ordered the worlds kit yesterday using the same discount code. Also I didnt find anywhere where it says you can only use it once like you do with Amain. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong.
