Re: #6002
So stupid question, but can only use one coupon per purchase. Like I want to pre order two so just use the 011T7 code? Cause it's not showing $400 something. More like $559. Or does the amount change when they charge me? I always forget about the coupons and have never used them. As a matter of fact earlier I pre ordered two, then saw the comments on here. Sorry for the stupid question.

Re: #6002
I believe the coupon will only be applied when your pre-order ships out.
so will there be an Official Associated Worlds car thread on here.... as previously noted.... right

Re: #6002
Hey all!
Glad to hear you guys are pretty excited about the RC10 World's Car re-release!
And I just wanted to answer a few of the questions:
You know you guys are the pinnacle of RC10 fans and this car was made to be a runner that is raced!! While retaining the spirit of the original car. The RC10WC will not be a 'limited' run like the Classic was. Now on to some of the things you guys were bringing up!
The shocks were V2's because quite frankly the cost is only slightly more for a much more functional and modern shock setup for today's racers. I knew that this could be a tricky subject and that there are always going to be people that are unhappy with whatever choice is made, but this car isn't intended to be a true 'replica' like the classic was, it's for the vintage racer/ enthusiast. Additionally, the front shocks are .71" and if you decided that you really rather build a World's car that looks period correct we still sell the original non-threaded shock bodies (unfortunately not black aluminum caps).
The chassis is machined (not stamped)!! Additionally, the chassis was made out of 6061-T6 because that is what the classic was made out of and the base chassis is the same as the classic, except with secondary machining. The nose plate is also trimmed!
The rear bulkhead is from the RC10 classic, so I know it is not a 'true' WC bulkhead. However, the Classic bulkhead was tooled up with the possibility of the WC in mind. Additionally, it would be kind of silly to make a whole new tool to pretty much re-create the exact same part and just remove the outside hole. So, re-using it means that if you do want a true WC look then you just need to trim the ears off and you'll be set!
-Once again, the drivetrain has been addressed to be better capable of handling today's power. The V2 slipper and B4 topshaft was an easy upgrade to help with putting the power down. Along with some other little revisions! And as some of you spotted a molded gear cover to accommodate the longer topshaft and also increased durability. To top it off CVA's complete the drivetrain, instead of universals since our CVA's are fairly universal across a majority of the 1/10 vehicles.
-The B4 front wheels were used along with the wide axles.
-The front tower has been updated to include an additional camber link hole, based on testing and tuning I've done racing the platform.
Lastly, the car will come with the Turbo Mirage body with scoop and you guys will be in for a treat with the WC decal sheet!
Anyways, feel free to ask more questions! And most importantly I am glad to see most of you are excited about the car and hopefully approve of the updates that were made!

Re: #6002
Thanks for all the sweet info Tim! Unfortunately I maybe have to get two now, one to run. I originally wasn't planning on running one but after reading this I think I change my mind.

Wrong forum, you might be thinking of rctech we don't do "official" threads

Cool, an official guy around Thanks Tim!
any plans on a "worlds-like" front tower? is the stealth a 2.25 or a 2.6?
Cheers,
Paul

Re: #6002
I am seriously considering getting one - I've never owned an Associated car, being a Losi fan since the early 90's, but I feel that I should at least own one RC10. I nearly went for the original, but it just didnt shout out at me - unlike this one!
I watched Kinwald battle it out with Joel at the WCs here in England, so would be good to have this car in my 'garage'.

Re: #6002
Oh my goodness, I know where my money will go now.
Thank you so much Associated that this car comes back! It was my first racing car and I can`t await to buy two. My two originals will get two new sisters
Now we only need a retro shirt like the one Craig and Brian are wearing on the picture and we can feel like champs
Well done Associated
Raimund
