Thanks,
I've always cut my plate since the 80's, just like the worlds. Guess I can experiment first before doing this, or just have to plates.

Sorry, I have been quite busy lately opening a new office... Hopefully after Aug 1st, that starts to settle down a bit.Norman wrote:did you use the short shock tower in the rear to use the b4 shocks?

I did at first, but you have to use quite a bit of limiters and it made the car not so good on big jumps. I have since switched to the standard size rear tower with zero limiters.
Just for the record... Where I came from, we used to use 1.02 shafts inside 1.32 shock bodies rather than using limiters. If you compare the 1.02/1.32 combo shock with a 1.18... They are nearly identical with the exception of travel with the 1.18 having more travel. I have never taken calipers to them, but they could be exactly the same length. If there were a couple more mounting options on Jakes arms, then I would like this car even more... I like it a lot as it is though.
One thing to note, you need stiffer springs using the standard tower.

Using the standard/or worlds rear tower with the b4 rear big bore shocks, what length shafts did you use?

This is one incredible build. I have to say its the best RC10 I have seen on this forum. Awesome work, with the body on I don't think most people would know its an old school RC10.

Re: My RC10.2 build. (OIN)
Thank you, that's a mighty compliment based on some of the builds on this website... And there are some incredible builds here. Mine is just a small sampling.

Re: My RC10.2 build. (OIN)
Put me on that list if you have one cause I will definately be in on getting a couple sets of these arms when they are available. I have a few extra parts to build a second buggy and I will be paying tribute to the overall design ideas of this one. Thanks for the great build.Seabass wrote:Done deal, the arms will be made when I get back, just got to wait about 6 months is allOrange wrote:I have to wait for Jake to get back from Korea and make more arms..

Nice build Sean, just want to ask, what is better, a stock (short) Bigbore Front shocks or he SC10 Long Front Shocks up front? planning to upgrade my runner. im torn between running a long or standard short shocks in a Truck nose piece.
cant figure if your using the short or the long SC10 shocks. getting old I think..
thanks.

Re: My RC10.2 build. (OIN)
I'm up to the point of trying to decide which front tower to choose going the BB route. With so many variations and no dimensions it's hard to choose without trying a few.
