The long about way of getting an RC-10T

Post by K-TOWN-KITT »

Got this in the mail today. RC-10 buggy converted to a truck. The rear RPM arms say truck but are shorer than regular RC-10T ams. This leads me to believe hey are pre 1991. Also has RPM rear carriers for Losi as well as mdifed Losi slidder axles. Then the A stamp chassis was drlled out and a Stealth tranny with lite-sink motor plate were installed. The whels are offset all the way on the inside. Pretty cool vintage build.

Pretty neat. I'm working on a JG truck from the same pre-RC10T era. Your front tower is JG in case you were wondering...wheels I think are Prolines. Mind taking some pin to pin measurements for the arms? I know the fronts are shorter than Worlds arms and the rears are longer but it's always more helpful to know exact measurements. ;)

The rear arms actually came with unique rear hub carriers and called for the use of Yokomo rear universals. There's a pair of the hubs on eBay...I'll PM you a link.

The fronts are 2 1/2 long overall and 2 1/4 from center pin to center pin. The rears are 3 3/8 from end to end and 3 1/8 from center of pin to center of pin.

Very cool. J remember these when I was a kid. What was the benefit of the sliders? And how durable were they?
