New Le Mans brushless.
Look what's back.
There's a 13.5, a 17.5 and a 21.5 turn. Too bad they all look the same. But at least now you can fit a modern motor into your old racer.Chris.

Re: New Le Mans brushless.
Cool name. However modern brushless motors still look too plain as they have no gold end bells, springs, polished heat sinks or other mechanical jewellery on show. Looks aside I am sure they are wonderful.

Re: New Le Mans brushless.
I agree with kink; I'd love to have seen some colored anodizing on that motor. All the other brushless motors these days (Tacon, EZRun, Leopard, etc.) are anodized in various pretty colors...too bad this looks so plain.

Re: New Le Mans brushless.
It is just another OEM motor from China. Therefore , all BL motors in the market looks the same, sounds the same, with the exception of LRP motor.
Re: New Le Mans brushless.
Even if the end bell plate was anodised gold and they made an effort to put retro style stickers on, it would make it way cooler looking. I guess you could do this yourself easy enough. But a missed opportunity to add some vintage vibe cool factor.

Re: New Le Mans brushless.
Know anything about them? Sensored or sensorless? Id like to have them for the bling runners. Matching ESC available?
Re: New Le Mans brushless.
I have a collection of Lemans brushed motors., Have about 5 and just bought an NOS 240sb off of ebay. Love these motors.. I know the brushless motors run well but they just don't have the style of the old Lemans brush motors. Recently my Son raced my old 80's RC10 with a brushed motor at the Mushroom bowl raceway and he won his first heat with it. EVERYONE loved the old RC 10 and how fast she still is

Re: New Le Mans brushless.
This hobby is all about the nostalgia for me. So I went for old school electronics for the all important look and to match the car - Novak, Reedy, old Futaba etc. The only newer item was the battery pack as it offered 5000mah in nimh format. If I wanted the latest best thing I may as well get a modern 1/8th brushless buggy. It is not about the fastest or best for me. It's about a period in time and making my own interpretation of it ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: New Le Mans brushless.
Although we agree on the appearance of the motor (and lack of a look of quality or anodizing), I have a slightly different take on this hobby. I remember the annoyances and "weak links" of the different chassis designs. I definitely prefer vintage--all I have are vintage cars, after all--but I figure with modern technology and some creativity, I like to resolve those weak links and points-of-failure in those vintage designs. I like to eliminate the fuss and frustration of the old electronics (or even MSCs of old). I also don't like to build the exact same car multiple times, or like anyone else built it. But at the end of the day, I still consider it to be vintage as the majority of parts are from 80's-era cars.

Re: New Le Mans brushless.
Yeah, no point building a carbon copy car over and over. There are only so many box art gold pans you can see before getting bored. That said, some people do them with a twist or to such a high quality they can still be outstanding.
