2011 Avante Hop up question: Torque splitter

Post by twisted »

Hello,Iam currently installing the torque splitter option for the 2011 re release Avante.I have the ball diffs installed and went to put in the one way assembly and noticed slop in between the spur/counter gear and the next gear inline.I installed it knowing that slop was there but thinking maybe the molding of the gear box would put things where they need to be. Nope... I heard gear clicking as soon as the throttle was hit.

So i took it apart looked over the instructions ( i got the updated version) to make sure i wasnt missing anything and im not, the instructions are simple and there are few pieces in this area. So i tried shimming out the slop but it moved the spur gear to much and caused a binding issues.

Next step was to take that assembly out and put in the locker for the center gearbox. That went together flawlessly and works with no problems.

Has anyone experienced this problem with the one way assembly?

thanks.

Hmmm...I have only run my Avante 2011 with the center diff, so I can't really say. Maybe the spur/counter with the one way that you have came from a defective mold?
