Re: RC10 DS?????????
You get three of your choice, it can be your original or others that they make. You also get 50% off an order, as many as you want.
They need a full uncut body with no holes and prefer no paint. It's a lot more work if they need to remove paint and I don't think they have a way to fill the holes and cutouts.

Re: RC10 DS?????????
That's really cool. SO how popular is the Associated DS Pick-up truck body #6141? i know definitely not as popular as the Mustang or Mercedes.
I just happen to have one uncut, unpainted, no body holes that i was saving for one of the DS's
Would that be something to donate to the cause so that more DS owners can have revive their rides?
something to think about....
Found this pic online(not my pic) while looking for paint job ideas...

I found one without too much trouble but it's always nice to have a cheap option

Re: RC10 DS?????????
X2. Awhile back I got lucky enuf to find one of each along with the sticker sheets. Without the sticker sheets these don't really have the 'feel' of the body. Finding the sticker sheets first would be the only reason to pick up a cheap option IMHO. Otherwise there are HPI bodies out there that work for the same kind of money but with sticker sheets.gomachv wrote:I found one without too much trouble but it's always nice to have a cheap option

Re: RC10 DS?????????
Good to know they are still out there. I got mine just to have as something original. I tend to lean more towards the muscle car bodies.gomachv wrote:I found one without too much trouble but it's always nice to have a cheap option
Edit:
I hear you on the sticker sheets...this body didnt have them, which was a bummer. I actually prefer the HPI bodies as their stickers sheets very cool and the car bodies are sweet.

Re: RC10 DS?????????
HI!.. So tonight i was digging through some more RC stuff and found these. They look brand new. Are these the RC10 DS front/rear 'A' arms and rear shock mount? Im pretty sure these came with the DS car i bought years ago.

Re: RC10 DS?????????
HI!... Also just found out that the car has CVD's and black 0* rear arm mounts on it. I've got about 90% of the parts now
. Did the RC10 DS come with 'B' or 'C' stamp black chassis? I have both and want to use the correct one. Thanks,
Neal

Re: RC10 DS?????????
It could have come with either, but since it remained in production longer than any of the aluminum cars a "C" would be perfectly safe

HI!... Ok thanks! Probably start putting this car together in a bit. Going to send the chassis out to be coated.

Re: RC10 DS?????????
HI!... Well i have a local guy that does all my powder coating. He only charges me about $12 a chassis/engine plate/nose. He did my Team car chassis and my custom blue one.
