Re: JK's re-re Racer build
I've built it to almost the exact same "specs" as my now former racer Only true differences are vented slipper and A&L steering (when it gets here). The CE front arms, CVDs, electronics, tranny and shocks are all used parts. It will be nice to hit the track with fresh plastics though. I shimmed the heck out of my other car to reduce the slop in the worn parts.
Cant wait to hit the track. Hopefully my steering shows up so I can finish the build and hit the track. Probably gonna shake the car down with my old Orange body. I dont know if I can scratch this one up just yet. That feeling will pass quickly.
Wish I had clear bodies for all my other race cars, I would have done them all at the same time Glad I bought a 4oz bottle of the fluorescent purple and yellow, so I have plenty of paint left.

Createx Fluorescent Violet
Createx Fluorescent Yellow
Createx Opaque White
Createx Opaque Black
All colors back with the White afterwards before the next color was layed down.
I did the yellow/purple on the driver by hand, then most the black on the outside for a flat black effect (as well as the white racing stripes on the arms).

Very nice build. Love seeing the driver inside!
My Re-re is still in the box waiting for some time to dig in.

Re: JK's re-re Racer build
Very well done! I like it.
Let us know how it performs on the track please.
One follow-on question for you though regarding the steering. Do you like the A&L steering? I was talking with someone today about this steering system and he was telling me that the standard bell crank system with bearings is better over the A&L. Something to do with ackerman and the way the inner wheel grabs better as it turns in more than the outer. Any thoughts on this?
