Street fighter gets serious!
It was pretty fast with the LRP ZR.32 spec 2, but that really is a torque monster off-road engine, not a high revving screamer, so it got transferred to my OFNA Ultra LX Comp buggy.
So, that beautiful blue engine:
Is getting replaced with a wicked purple thing, a Novarossi .28-7RT seven port turbo engine. Just scored one for $300 shipped.
Will report back!

Can't wait to see the video. Better find you a long straight and a trustworthy radio!

Yeah, it's not easy to control them when they start running 60, 70 or faster. Fortunately, I do have a nice straight away to run on, and it's just sloped off into fields on either side, so as long as I miss the fence posts, there's usually no serious damage in the 80+ MPH crashes. It's barely over 5 lbs, and with the RPM front arms and 1/8 scale rear parts, it takes a tumble pretty well.Better find you a long straight and a trustworthy radio!

It's in now, just haven't had time to go break it in and run it.

Re: Street fighter gets serious!
Honestly, traction hasn't been a problem. With the 3:1 final drive ratio, clutch shoes have been the issue. If you can get it to hook up it will fly...
It needs to hit 121 MPH. If I can't do it with a Novarossi .28-7RT............then I'll do it with a pair of Novarossi .28-7RTs!
At this point, I'm pretty much willing to go as far as necessary to own the nitro speed record.
