Imagine if the ebay buyer claimed it was falsely advertised and full of junk. I wonder what the seller could do in such a claim? As there are no internal photographs to prove it either way. Of course finding an unethical and dishonest person on ebay is never likely to happen, but worth a pause for thought.

Sorry for yet another negative post. Have a YiPEE on me to balance it out.

What if justalittlebastard buys it, claims it never arrived and payscrew sides with him, and then parts it out claiming he invented Worlds Car parts when he drove for Associated.

Is it just me or does it always seem like the person that finds a new in box kit is always in it for the money and not the hobby. If I had found that gem I would be enjoying the build and run it from time to time. Mostly shelf life but still run it to enjoy it.

If I found that I would have had to open it first to make sure there was really a kit inside...But I would leave it as a kit and display it proudly...He is the owner of it so he can do whatever he wants with it...It just sucks to think it might end up going to a chop shop and parted out...

Fortunately it isn't always the case. In this very case, it is, though. As said, sad but then again it's the finder's choice. Those folks who build it and make a build thread about it are cool, though

Now, creating a thread here and boasting about the find only to end up putting it on ebay in the end is, well, you know what it is... :(

Well you see, I have a built 93 Worlds Car as a Shelf Queen with the box so no need for another (see below).

I won't be parting it out or be putting it on eBay (well maybe eventually.....isn't that my choice?)

If the right buyer comes along who will appreciate the kit and add it to their collection then I will let it go as it is a special piece.

If I wasn't lucky enough to already have a built one then I'd crack open this box and build it.

I must say I never meant to disappoint and am a little disheartened by the negativity - those who know me know I am a serious restorer and collector of mainly Kyoshos but being in the vintage scene and grabbing the opportunity to purchase a shrinkwrapped NIB RC10 worlds car, well, I think anyone would jump at the chance. Fact is it doesn't really fit in my collection, my NIB's are all Kyosho and only my shelf queens are from other brands. So simply offering it up and yes if I'm honest hoping to make a bit of profit as am still longing for a NIB Tomy Intruder EX which has eluded me for well over a year.

Hope that helps redeem things a little....oh and it's definitely not full of rocks, mars bars or marbles, I took it to the airport and scanned it as was mentioned by someone else! :)

Cheers,

Dan

NIB Worlds now sold and he's very very happy - you'll all be happy to hear I found another 93 Worlds in the same shop, seal broken and box has been opened years ago to remove the front tyres and some other small parts....so I've built this one and used some other new bits I had from a Team kit to complete it - this is now a brushless runner pictured here posing with my shelfer Worlds.

Runner now has the black carbon towers fitted.

Cool story and update! I like the stance and front tires on the runner.
