Re: A-Main Bullet Fwd 4ws RC10 conversion Tribute build
Almost forgot...the material for the servo mounts is "UHMW", a very slick plastic. I need to source some. Cuts with a scroll saw.
Mark, the person I spoke with today, was one of the four people that worked on this project. The person mentioned in the write up, Mike, passed away about 6 years ago. Mark was in charge of marketing and funded the project (dang, should have hit him up to fund the re-re ). He thinks he may have pieces and literature buried away, and may surprise us with it one day He thinks he may have the packing list which would be a tremendous help.
It was such a different response than the one Ron from RC Plus had. Ron raced against them, not with them, so it was interesting hearing something positive about the car He seemed to be in disbelief that we would take the time to remake something from so far back.
This has lit a little more of a fire for me, tomorrow is the last race of the year so I will have more time on the weekends to play with it. As soon as I wrap up a few other projects anyway.

It's due to the nature of the hobby.gomachv wrote:He seemed to be in disbelief that we would take the time to remake something from so far back.
I figure someone who tried out something as oddball as a front wheel drive, four wheel steering buggy would believe that answer.

That is the same question I ask about you You need to keep him posted about what you are doing and run that car by there so he can see that you are really interested in that car...He probably has one still and you never know you could end up being the owner of it plus whatever spare parts they have left...Now that would be very cool...gomachv wrote:Is there anything you don't have, Aaron?

He definitely doesn't have any, just parts and pics. It would be awesome if one of the other partners still had one or knew where there was one tho

If you wanted an aluminum chassis version they would be easy! We have the recipe for that one! The carbon fiber is a big expense. It's coming.....
