No reason you can't go old school and use a set of steel outdrives as idlers, it's a simple dremel job and then your full metal. Not my cup of tea but it's easy and should last

Its frustrating that we are the ones who are buying the bulk of these and we aren't the first to get them. I think its very disrespectful of AE to allow this happen. And I don't even care that they are made in China, they can hold up distribution until they reach the US customers first. Heck I would just like to know when I might actually see the damn thing right now I just have an ever moving target from tower of their expected ship date. Do we all remember back two months ago when we were first supposed to get them?

Is this the most important thing in your life right now? I can't get over the frenzy that this has created on this forum. Yes I like AE releasing parts that keep these cars running but please dont create another price whore market due to limited re-release. No I haven't ordered one and probabably won"t. Yes it is the greatest RC car ever produced and will always will be. That will never change. I'm fixing to shelve my B4.2 and go at them with an RC10. Just because I can and some re-released parts are available now. It's not gonna change the "vintage shelfer" market so what's the big deal.

Just the way I look at it. No hard feelings intended.

No its not the most important thing in my life right now. I'm excited I remember building my first one in 1988 and between my Tamiya Lunchbox and my first RC10 those are the two cars that really got me into the hobby. My point is more that this car is in hobby stores in China already yet us in the states and elsewhere have no idea when we might see ours. Like I said way back in June we were told mid August well that went by nearly two months ago and the day is still changing as we speak.

As for creating a price whore market, well the market will do what it will do. I am only buying one car and parts to build another. I rarely run my cars so I won't be needing a lot of parts and I won't be hoarding them hoping the price goes up. I'm not in this hobby to make money I'm in it for fun. And the fun for me is to open a new kit and build it just like I did when I was a kid. I'm excited about this re-release more so than any other and would just like to know when I might see it. I would have been fine knowing in June that it wouldn't ship until October but to see the ever changing date is just a little frustrating, some what understandable, but still frustrating.

Since the announcement, I've been collecting parts and electronics for mine. It helps pass the time.

I may have been a little blunt. However some of those replies were in response to people moaning about the same old things.

I got all excited, received an email from Tower that my payment had been processed.

Except it was for my Tamiya Fox backorder, not the RC10.
I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.

I see there is a kit on eBay. Wonder if they actually have it in stock. I didn't think to look where the seller is from.

Quite ironic that customers in the States are likely to be the last to receive their kits. It's a small price to pay though considering that the re-release almost certainly would not have even happened had AE not been owned by Thunder Tiger.

nobody in Tampa has one, cause if they did I would have already built and run mine 20 times!

Knowing this area, he's probably really shady and you'll never see the kit
