The diff gears are loose copies of a hotshot gear. The car was recalled quite quickly

Back in the day traxxas made a graphite kit for the TCP. I was able to find part number 2628-x. But unfortunately the holes do not line up. The part looks pretty cool but it does not fit. :(

So traxxas vintage guys…Has anyone ever seen this part...

Ya i could do that, thanks for the tip. I might order some of the fibre-lyte graphite parts from the UK. A member on this forum has them by the name of cobra ken. The parts look to be of the highest quality and give the car a very awesome look!!!...

Yep you heard it here second or third :lol:

Just repeating what was posted elsewhere. Might be interesting. If Traxxas took over all they would do is gold plate the molds for whatever hpi already makes, change the color of the plastics and bodies...

Yep, that's the word. Someone was taking too much money out of the company and upset the shareholders, company went into voluntary administration and Traxxas bought HPI. Not clear if it's only Europe but speculation is it could be HPI world wide....

Every wonder what is supposed to be in the bag? Well, here ya go! If this is a resource you will use often, its probably best to download the folder as its large and the access can be slow (Klavy, dont bother- it will take a year! :lol:)

Mantis is MI and MIW and that header card is way too old for the Mantis.

This looks like a light bucket holder for one of the two bodies mentioned, probably an optional part that was released later on if it's not listed in the manual.
