Re: eBay Germany Worlds Car beater
Just a quick update here.
I "rebuild" the shocks this evening although I think after 13 or so years they will need a complete rebuild including o-rings etc. Beside the cleaning I gave them I fitted black plastic parts as I think they match better with the black suspension components.
I also changed the wheels and tyres for doing the pics as I could not stand it anymore to the the car on the skinny Schumacher Stagger tyres up front. The work very well on carpet but the look is a bit ... I now use Panther tyres on B3 wide body rims as they look much beefier and suited.
Cheers
Seb

Re: eBay Germany Worlds Car beater
hey man dont be knocking the skinny Schumacher Stagger rib tires, they rock. believe it or not my local club, according to schumacher in florida, is the only place in the u.s. that still uses them. and we run them on all fours. they work awesome on a polished concrete floor. youre car is awesome slammed rc-10's are really catching on.

Wyldbill (cool car btw!) you are right in saying that the Schumacher tyres swell on the slippery stuff but I personally like fat tyres up front . But for carpet I have to usem them Staggers I am afraid ...

Nice car Minicooper, what are your plans for the front tubes? It seems the body will have to be moved up to fit them...
On a side note, I ALWAYS use those Schumacher stagger ribbed tires to race on grass, there's no other tire that can beat 'em

I still haven't managed to screw them in the chassis again to be honest ... I think I will cut the body a bit more up front to save that slammed look. The body lines are not 100% fixed yet but I have to adress that before painting.Asso_man! wrote:Nice car Minicooper, what are your plans for the front tubes? As with the Staggers - we use them on gras too here in Germany. Well, we have to as they are on the controlled tyres list ...

Mount up your servo and servo saver before you trim the nose, it will be the tallest part of the chassis.Minicooper 35 wrote: I still haven't managed to screw them in the chassis again to be honest ... Re: eBay Germany Worlds Car beater
That's a valuable tip!
I throw the servo (with a large Kimbrough servo saver) in and there is still plenty (read: two to three millimeter) of room left ...
As you can see I still haven't painted the body but I masked the windows and prepared for masking the MOO design.

You've definitely got the front jacked up. Mine is resting on the swaybar mounting area, but I don't have nose tubes.

That looks super!
We need to gather all the Siebenslammed cars into one thread for pictures. Maybe Michael should have the honor of starting the post?

Really cool car, with this "big horn" truck rear shock tower it really look like a cowboy car.

Re: eBay Germany Worlds Car beater
Just another quick update. I washed away the marking for the masks and fitted a wing. It is just a placeholder at the monent as I plan to use a AE one instead of the TL-wing ...
Just needs the electrics now (and some stickers of course) and off it goes!
Cheers
