Took the old girl out for a spin today...need a part

First time under power in I would guess 8 years or so.

Put a grin on my face...

Put a grin on the face of my friends boy as well. I let him take her out when the batteries were starting to go out...

I'm going to have to find him a car of his own, I can't really afford to purchase one outright...but I may start bidding on some older rolling chassis and see if I can't have him help me build up something like a B3 for his very own.

So I've found two parts I'm going to need, I've got a rear suspension mount that cracked at one of the screw points

I've done some ebay hunting and some googling but haven't found any replacement parts...suggestions on a good place to look? One of the local shops is going to ask his associated rep if he can help...right now if I run it I'm risking the transmission as it sits loose...back onto the shelf she goes till I can find them

Searched their website, did a hunt on EBAY and did a Google search for the part number along with some key word searches like RC10T Rear Suspension Mount...nada.

I found the battery straps I needed, but this one is not popping up.

Any other ideas? I'm kinda stumped.

I am going to assume you need the rear arm mount for the RC10, I found these with a quick internet search...not original, but should work:

Rowdy, the original and t2 rear susp. mounts are tough to come by, since they are discontinued They are probably one of the last things one wants to break or first to likely break on an old rc10, 10t, or t2. I think someone suggested using RPM GT rear mounts, but I'm not sure exactly how well they fit. If you get some aluminum ones and happen to have a bad crash in the rear, you'll most likely break the a-arm or bend a hinge pin first, both of which are alot easier to replace since they are still available.

FYI, just installed a set of GPM rear mounts on an aluminum tub runner project. I had to countersink the threaded holes in the mounts slightly so the screws would seat and pull the mounts down tight. Also, installed the hinge pins and measured the distance across the front and rear, which was the same. They must be 0 degree toe in, and I think the 6360 mounts are 1.5. So be aware.......

I'd suggest just searching rc10T, rc 10T, rc 10 t, rc10 t, etc, as there are normally only 50 ish results for that. Then just buy a scrapper chassis with the parts you need. Voila, lots of cheap spares.

I've been peering at that, and I don't think they are a direct fit replacement...they look wrong and I"m not sure how to describe it any better

Well for six bucks I"ll give her a go...see what happens, I don't have a problem going to a 0 degree rear...

I noticed one thing about Tower, sometimes they do not give a total detail of an item. You might also want to try searching for the part number. There have been a few RC10 parts I found by part number but not listed under RC10.
