Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?

There's some talk about a re-re stealth tranny that keeps popping up. Has that been confirmed at all? So cool if it has.

Yes, Associated have said the Stealth will follow as an upgrade, although I wasn't told whether that is a gearbox upgrade or another rerelease full kit.

If a wide armed stealth kit comes along be it CE, Team or Worlds I honestly can't see me ever buying another modern kit, I'll be happy racing anyone of the above from now on

scr8p sent me a txt last night about the news, at first i didnt care... but i saw the ad, then saw the tower link, thought about it awhile... and it made me happy.

One thing this re-release of the RC10 has done is bring back badhoopty out of the mud and back onto 10talk after god knows how long. Wonders never cease!

I ordered two, and I am really thinking about one more..... For $225 with the Tower discount ($235 with shipping) just seems like such a great deal for a mint, sealed, brand new RC10.....

- associated makes however many limited 6001 kits to satisfy pre-orders, and stocks all the hobby shops with parts for a long time.

- associated continues limited edition kits of later product releases, and starts making all the parts again.

I think it would be funny to see them follow Fender's lead, and offer countless "limited edition" reissues of each and every teeny tiny little variant over the years.

...which, naturally, would mean eventually we'll see a thread on how to "relic" your new RC10: yellowing white parts, rusting screw heads, scraping up the nose plate just-so, artfully addiing cracks to the body around the shock towers...

I think this is the way to go, Bill is a great guy. Don't get me wrong, I am sure Tower or Amain will come through as well. The $25 off is pretty good...

I know who Cline Hobbies are and I think he could use the business as well. Support for the local hobby shop, even though he is no where near me. (pre order I mean)

Dude I have 4 on order, 2 for me and another 2 for Anthony, then 6 more for the shelf! Not sure what the South store ordered but the distributor says they are going nuts with orders!

If this works as a money maker for AE, (and I think it will) After the Stealth tranny, maybe we will see a Team Car, Worlds Car or how about a white plastic 10T? That would be cool as hell!

Happy AE has not forgot their heritage! Oh How about a RC12is or a RC500 for the future????
