Funny story

Post by RC104ever »

So yesterday, a bunch of neighbourhood kids were outside racing their RC cars. No, they weren't anything special (Walmart type cars). So my son comes inside and asks if any of the cars are charged. I said yes, the B44 has some juice left in it (running a Castle 7700 kv motor   )

So he takes it outside with a huge grin on his face and says he will race anyone.

Of course all the kids line up.

My kid being the generous type says he will give them a head start of two drive ways. So the kids start off and they are WALKING beside their cars.

The B44 starts off crawling...quite literally...and he is creeping beside them and then he just punches it down the street, comes back, turns around, then starts crawling beside them again.

The look on their faces was absolutely priceless! I thought I was going to die laughing.

So then the kids all come up to me and start asking me questions like - 'can you build me one?' 'Sure kid, got $500?' But then one kid, who obviously knows something, asks me this:

Kid - Is that a Traxxas?

Me - No, its a TEAM ASSOCIATED

Kid - But I thought Traxxas was the fastest name in RC! (Seriously!!!)

Me - They have one car that can go 100 mph, that doesnt make them the fastest.

Kid - Oh. Well I want a Team Associated now anyways!

Anyways, then we brought out the Gold pan and I explained about it to a captive audience of 7 and 8 year olds. Then brought the T4 and drove that for a bit too.

All in all, was a fun afternoon of bashing on the street. Lots of my neighbours came out as always to watch me zip up and down the street.

That is an awesome story!

A b44 with brushless (laughing hysterically) you wanted to make sure your son drove the point home about who was king with those kids!

Yeah - I forgot that he once got challenged to a race by another kid with a largish Radio Shack type special. Nice enough toy, but it was obviously WAY over his head (and didn't know it.). Cocky kid - my older son videotaped him getting his a-- handed to him by my youngest son. He knew when the goldpan did a wheelie and took off down the street, lol. He won $5 on the race too, lol.
