Cliff did say they were very conscious of not upsetting vintage collectors so I assume there may be a marking or something to distinguish from original parts....just guessing.marlo wrote:Will we be able to tell the difference between original parts, and the new one's.........I hope so!!

I think the rere kit could go huge! If the numbers could be produced to best service demand, you'll find that it's not just vintage fans that would buy this car. Many modern day AE racers and bashers would be interested in these kits purely knowing this was the car that started AE off. I am confident that demand is there. It would be great knowing all those that wanted one or many could get them.

I actually think I am going to stick to my unique vintage build black car. There are going to be 100 identical gold pans on here soon. Tamiya club and Traxxas fans are going to swarm the place haha. Welcome all

This is the car which people thought may be a sample of the 2013 RC10 classic. .... it isn't. Damn nice 6 axis machining and colour matching though

He's going to produce and sell them in Ltd numbers. Calls himself Romulus I think and he has an rc car museum.

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?
I could see sales being really good. There's a whole generation of bashers and racers that never had the opportunity to own a gold pan but have heard the legends.
And how cool will it be to see clubs starting all gold pan classes.
Just like the good old days when everyone ran goldies!
Question: They are beefing up the idlers. Can the pressed on diff tube take the torque of a brushless? Will it come with a brushed motor or less all electronics? Original tires and jelly beans? Man, so many questions. I wish AE would release some info on their site.

I like it! I like it a lot!scr8p wrote:i thought about that as well. start a new forum where everyone can build their identical carsMelvinsArmy wrote:So now do we have to add a "retro RC10" section? I mean, there's obviously going to be a huge amount of new RC10 builds that are anything but vintage., and the first 10 people that build theirs with a boxart body will be banned for 30 days.

Romulus-10 on here. He put together the r/c car museum last year. Do a search, you'll find the thread for it.DennisM wrote:Who made that mean gearbox ?

Is it weird that I have mine pre-ordered and I'm getting (New tech of course) a Novak ESC, Rev Tech motor and Reedy batteries?

oh, and I do vote for a re-re subsection...just so I can avoid it

i know i know, each to their own. let me explain my thinking in rather crude terms though about re-re as a wholeflipwils11 wrote:Who pooped in your Cheerios? Sheeshproffesso wrote:meh, you zany kids. a vintage car is like a hot woman you've had your eye on, takes a bit of work to get her, start with the number, couple of dates etc, then you get her into bed....getting there was half the fun
re-re's and arf/rtr are like hookers...instant gratification, there was no lead up, just walk down the shop and get it.
call me old fashioned

I would have been far happier, and given AE my money if they released a B5, or a modern "homage" to the classic...just something...weird about buying a model, of a model

sorry for the rant guys, go back about your buisness
I'm a retro radio control hipster - I only like the stuff no one bought!
Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?
Pre ordered mine! It's like Christmas 1987 all over again, except this RC10 will have bearings and an ESC (something I always dreamed mine would have).
Now, what brushless motor to put in? I have a Reedy 7.5T not in use, but I think that would be too much for the car.
