Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action
I was told the re-re wasn't quite ready for the show, but would be exactly like the original. I assume it will have the mods listed earlier in the thread (lipo friendly, and tougher tranny) though.
Man I'm stoked on this. I can't wait to have a couple of these show up on my doorstep!
a few more pics.
security guard making sure I didn't get droll on the vintage display.
I'm thinking if I go back tomorrow I might have to snag one of these for a runner

She's going to make you take it down after you accidentally call her "Trophy Girl" in bed...vintage AE wrote: Screw the garage, I want it above my bed on ceiling. I wifey would love it
Slightly OT, but no Tamiya booth at RCX??? Isn't that like Ford not having a booth at the NAIAS?

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action
Is it realistic to wait for the exact era/trans/chassis configuration you would prefer or just be appreciative that they are going to bring this original rc10 configuration to market?Phin wrote:Don't have to worry about me taking your pre-orders since I think I'll wait for the stealth re-re...or hopefully a graphite re-re.
Late graphite chassis would be <3
I will be buying to be parts for conversions if they're sold separately. Really interested in what they're going to change in the 6-gear.
Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action
Only if this is a sales success will they consider later editions for re-re, imo.

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action
Yes it is realistic to not buy a 6-gear car when I still have my original car, and wait for the re-re stealth car, that AE said will be coming later, since I don't have an original one of those.flipwils11 wrote:Is it realistic to wait for the exact era/trans/chassis configuration you would prefer or just be appreciative that they are going to bring this original rc10 configuration to market?Phin wrote:Don't have to worry about me taking your pre-orders since I think I'll wait for the stealth re-re...or hopefully a graphite re-re.

It's also realistic that I can not want a 6-gear re-re and still be appreciative that AE is doing any kind of re-re.

Just met the man himself Roger Curtis. He signed 2 cards for me....says he has no idea why the buggy is so popular and he wouldn't have rereleased it! Spoke with him and his wife for a long time. Lovely couple.
