also try acetone and wd40 to remove sticker residue. Just be careful with acetone on plastics, and of course, wd40 is oil so it will leave an oily finish that would need to be cleaned up(if possible)

Sorry for the lack of progress on this build. I've been working on several other runner projects lately. This truck is almost done though, it's been built on two diff chassis so far but I just found a chassis and nose plate that are perfect so as soon as I get everything swapped over, I'll take some pics and post them. I have to change connectors on a few of the electronics and then they can be dropped in as well. All that I really need for this project now is an original body which I've had no luck in finding.

This project is done, I'm just waiting on the body to arrive. It looks a little different then it does in these pics. I moved the Tekin reverse module to the chassis. I didn't like how it looked hanging from the shock tower. I'll post more pics after the body is mounted. The reverse module, Reedy motor and receiver are new and never run and it has a working Tekin G-9 ESC, a Futaba 3003 servo and a 1300 6 cell pack. I tried to build this truck with as many original #7001 parts as I could find. The old chassis was just too thrashed so I found a new, never run chassis and nose plate. Thanks to everyone who made this build possible. More pics to come.

So I finally received my body from TBG and I have a question about trimming. I've seen trucks with the tailgate section cut out, and trucks with it left in tact. Which route should I go for this truck? I don't plan on painting it.

My personal opinion is to leave it. For racing I can see the purpose of trimming but that doesn't seem to be needed in your case.

The more I look at it on the truck semi-trimmed, the more I'm inclined to agree. Thanks for your reply.
