New RC10T4.2's come with Chinese packing lists?
I must say at first glance I'm pretty impressed with the look of the T4.2 (aside from the bulldog body) but was surprised to see a crumpled Chinese packing list in the box, the kind you get with cheap crappy Chinese products. I have never seen one in any Associated kit and would have thought that "if" they included something it would have been a bit nicer. It has made me curious yet a bit dissapointed at the same time.
Is Associated including them now with new kits or did it end up in my box by mistake?

I might even have gotten one in my B44.1 a couple of years ago...

Well, I guess that answers the question I asked in the re-re thread.

Re: New RC10T4.2's come with Chinese packing lists?
Unfortunately yes. Ever since TT bought out Associated it has been US designed, Chinese made.
I must say though that the fit and finish of the 4.2 is the best yet so far, nearly no hand finishing and more precise moldings. It's quite a beautiful kit and almost too nice to take out on the dirt.
Now if only I could find a body that fits other than the bulldog.

Re: New RC10T4.2's come with Chinese packing lists?
No matter how nice anything is, I would still want it made in N.A. I'm in the manufacturing industry in Ontario, and high paying jobs are scarce........as the saying goes "out of a job yet, keep buying foreign!

That's why I bought the rc10 back in the day, made in the USA, and plus it was the best thing out there in 1987 IMO (2wd)marlo wrote:No matter how nice anything is, I would still want it made in N.A.
