Which Lipos to choose from?

Post by fkl1 »

There are a lot of different kinds of lipos with different # of cells , different # of C, and different # of V.

Which you would pick for your RC10.

2s, 25c or higher, 3000mah or higher, hardcase.
some lipo's are too big to fit into the rc10 battery holders.

where are you located? asiatee's is a fine vendor but there are 100's of vendors, lots to choose from.

the turnigy 4000mah 40c 2s lipos from hobbyking fit pretty well in my old cars.

venom has "shorty" packs that fit damn near everything. they are a bit more $$ then the cheap brands but not crazy $$ like the fancy brands.
search for venom 60c 3800mah shorty. great battery and can be bought pretty cheap on ebay.

I am loving the Turnigy nano-tech's. Super cheap and great performance. The actual numbers are usually better than advertised. Get the highest C rating you can afford, they will take more abuse and last longer than a lower rated pack. I personally am not a fan of hard cases, but to each his own.

I just got my first lipo's in the mail yesterday. I've only tried it out on the carpet in my house with my mini slash but holy crap the thing did a flip when I hit full throttle! I think I'm sold.
