nah, i doubt it. best chance would be the muscle car show in chicago:

but i don't think anything we've built has been invited this year. this 68 hurst olds we built was out there in 2011.

Re: Scr8p's shop
Couple more little things to put on it, and a super good cleaning, and it'll be all done.

Re: Scr8p's shop
Alright, one last pic of this one. The owner is on his way down to pick it up tonight. If anyone knows who Paul Sr. is from OCC, it's his.
On to a new job, which originally was only supposed to be a simple frame swap. Now its become a complete resto. A 62 chevy bubbletop. I didn't take any pic at the beginning, so the first ones I have are of it pretty much blown apart. But it was a running driving car when it got there, and had just been at a car show the day before. It was a decent, 20 footer. Then you start you dive into it and see how much of a POS it is.
Its a factory 409 2x4 4sp car that spent much of its early days as a drag car. Hence the need for a new frame. The original color is black, so it'll be going back to that, and will retain the correct red interior.
Here's a quick shot of the kind of things we're dealing with on this one. If you want to know, the answer is no, that is not the proper way to repair a wheel well opening.

I'll donate $10 to the server fund if you make a license plate that says "PJD4LFE"If anyone knows who Paul Sr. is from OCC, it's his.

I hear Sr. has a decent car collection going. Interested to hear how he is up close & personal.
Jason, have you done any of the very early Impalas?

as funny as that would've been........ he still owed my dad some money.gomachv wrote:I'll donate $10 to the server fund if you make a license plate that says "PJD4LFE"If anyone knows who Paul Sr. is from OCC, it's his.

ya, he has quite a few cars, and old school bikes (obviously). he's definitely different than he was on the show, at least back when sr. and jr. were working together. he was pretty mellow on the later ones (for the most part), and that's how he is in person. the first time we were up to his house a couple years ago, we just hung out in his garage shootin' the sh-t. like you would with any other car/bike guy.askbob wrote:I hear Sr. has a decent car collection going. as for early impalas this 62 will be the oldest, we did the black 63 a couple posts up, as well as a 64 biscaye (i'm sure there's a pic of it somewhere in this thread). we do have a 58 sedan delivery to tackle one day...... when the owner decides he definitely wants to do it.
