Which truck wheels fit on which axles?

Post by EvolutionRevolution »

I'm looking for a summary of which RC-10T/T2/T3 wheels fit on which axles. Associated's website is very sparse on details and often doesn't give the axle size :( .

I'm looking for front wheels that take 3/16x3/8 inch bearings, and the rear wheels should fit on a 3/16" pinned rear axle.

What other manufacturers make wheels that will work?

I think all associated front 2wd truck wheels will take that bearing size.

The 3 pc rears and the rc10gt2 quick change rears are the only wheels I know that will not work with your axle size. The 3 pc are 1/4"axles and there might be a dish wheel or 2 that are 1/4" but can't find part numbers for the ones I am thinking of right off the top of my head. All 2 piece rear 2wd associated truck wheels will otherwise be 3/16" axle and all seem to have the same offsets all the way IIRC. This of course stays away from short course type wheels.

Alot of companys offered associated truck wheels but you'll have to find the info of rear axle size and offset within what you find. Companys like Duratrax, A&L, RPM, Proline, Thunder Tiger, etc. offered truck rims. Pry quite a few more but those just off the top of my head. Losi even offered up rc10buggy rear wheels.

I'm sure Reggie can fill in tons more info once he sees this question too.

Hope this helped...

When look up parts on the Associated site you have to look at the "parts list" PDF documentation since they include fitment info with the part # listing. Not sure why they simply didn't list that info "shopping cart" listing  ANYWAY...

Here's my ASC only list for you, as far as I know all fronts used 3/16" X 3/8" unflanged bearings. I don't have any other manufacturer info that might apply to this thread, maybe someone else can contribute that info

Asc Front 2.2" wheel
------------------------------------
7840 "3-piece wide"
7872 "3-piece narrow"
7842 "1-piece lite wt"
7843 ""1-piece proline"

Asc Rear 2.2" wheel
------------------------------------
7800 "3-piece" 1/4" axles
7802 "1-piece" 1/4" axles
7803 "1-piece" 3/16" axles
7804 "1-piece proline" 3/16" axles

All rc10t (T, T2, T3, T4, 4.1) variations used the same offset. Swap rear hubs to the 3/16 style (T2) and add 3/16" CVD's and away you go- all fronts are the same-(Posi-Loc not withstanding)
