A cage and sheetmetal body would be really cool...I gotta admit. Kinda like the Halsey ad car. Maybe just the cage though, and the small piece of the body would be clear lexan.

The tie rod ends are from a seller on the bay. Only bad thing about them is that they are all right hand threads.
Who da seller? Can't ya just take a set of anodizd aluniumn ones and buff them? I think. Anodized are not that expensive anyway and if they are threaded the wrong way, re-tread them then cut them off. I just can't find the short a arms for my buggy ( alloy) of course.
This thread was very inspirational. I love the metal items and the track rods etc. Very well made indeed! It is perhaps a little too shiny for me personally. Really superb example!
This this is basically going to be a stock gold pan rc10 with titanium turnbuckles, stealth tranny and a few mods to lighten and a couple litlle Cliff Lett inspired mods.

This is my start to a gold pan runner build. Milled the chassis at work and rounded over back of chassis where it attaches to the motor and also rounded over the nose piece and cut it the same shape as the 6309 nose. Then sanded edge of chassis all...

Added the battery strap today and got the turnbuckles and ball ends a cleaned and installed. I will eventually add titanium turnbuckles but these will be fine for now.
So i went into a local Hobby Town yesterday and was talking to a kid in there about vintage stuff and he said they had got a couple of gold pan re-re's back in december but never sold them, so they were actually boxed up and going back to the...
So I've been acquiring parts for an old is new type of build. I want to build something that I can possible run at our local track. I've never raced before, so it should be lots of fun.
I want to incorporate as many vintage elements as I can, but...
