2.2 aluminum jellybeans
Theres a website called pargustore.com that advertises aluminum 2.2 jellybean wheel sets for $89.00 per set. They look pretty nice! I was thinking of buying a set,and was wondering if anybody else has had any experience with these wheels or dealing with their webstore. Any input would be appreciated.
Re: 2.2 aluminum jellybeans

Re: 2.2 aluminum jellybeans
I bought a set a week ago or so. Very nice stuff. I asked him to make them with out the drilled out holes for the screws. Since they are one piece I didn't see the point of having the holes there. Since he was willing to do that it makes me wonder how much more custom work he would be willing to do. The packaging was real good. And the over all finish was very good. However the stock lipped bearings will not fit.The bearing holes are larger on these wheels. I had some wheel bearings from a losi xxxt that fit them perfectly. He was very good to deal with. I think I'm going to buy the rear arm mounts from him as well and see if he will leave them raw for me.

Re: 2.2 aluminum jellybeans
Sounds like he machines them for the newer 3/8x3/16 bearings instead of the old 3/16x5/16 flanged. The 3/8 are a good strong bearing.

Re: 2.2 aluminum jellybeans
Thanks for the info! And the heads up on the bearing sizes.Im definitely gettin'me a set. I was actually thinking about keeping the screw holes. That way I can add some extra bling by putting in some blue or red annodized screws to make things really pop. ![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Re: 2.2 aluminum jellybeans
The wheels are really good, but delivery can take quite a while and communication is not always good.
Ordered mine on 9 Dec and received them on 11 Feb, I had to open a paypal dispute to start communication, but was then helpful.
I think the biggest problem was they were waiting for enough orders for a run, so whilst it said in stock on the site they weren't.
So be patient they are definitely worth the wait.

I bet a set of hex adapters and the correct front bearing is all you need ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: 2.2 aluminum jellybeans
I just asked that guy if he will make the spoked wheels for a vintage RC10. I also mentioned a few on here may be interested too. I hope he gets back to me! I wonder if he has a minimum order amount?...

Re: 2.2 aluminum jellybeans
I got some of his wheels for my optima mid last year and they are perfecto.
He must make them to order cos I had to wait a while.
It's worth the wait though.
