What would you do with this buggy?

If you owned this buggy what would you do with it? Restore it, run it, sell it off, keep for parts or throw it in the bin? It is pretty rough, has a home made arm, some coarse screw treatment, body painted in house paint and is generally beat. If it is an original B2 then it's quite rare.

I don't own it, just curious what you would do with it?

I would replace the the suspension arm and replace the screws with the proper ones, if the damaged from the coarse screw isn't too bad. Use the body for now, replace it later. Make it a runner.

Whoever made the arm did a pretty good job actually, quite surprising considering the screws they used elsewhere. It wouldn't be too hard to restore with all the Thunder Tiger parts available. Is it an actual B2 or a B3? I dont know the differences between them as I was never into post tub chassis RC10 buggies.

My B3 always has a Johnson 540 bag motor in it geared as low as possible. I love jumpin' it around the deck and yard and taking it on walks with wifey. 60 minutes or so with a 6000mah pack and a lot more fun than you would think. No maintenance necessary either. Just a drop of oil occasionally. The doughnut factor alone will make you smile.

if nothing is broken, a total break down, soak plastic and steel parts in simple green, replace any items that needs it(such as front arms). wash aluminum parts in dish detergent, and defunk the chassis of any adhesive with acetone, wd40 or goof off.

fresh screws, fresh shock guts, and wash and polish up the body, and that becomes a sweet restored example of a B2. I would bet you could get it all done under $40.00. Any issues with coarse screws, you could in theory use CA to fix any blind holes.

You say that the body is painted with 'house paint' meaning a laquer or something? get that acetone on there and get the body back down to clear(ish) and respray with the right kind of paint.

that is my plan anyway, except my B2 in almost identical shape is orange. though I need tires too.

Definitely rebuild it. I don't know how much of an issue the stripped screws are going to be, but other than that it looks like it doesn't need too much.

run it. I like the handling the b2/b3 has. Jumps great, easy to work on, parts are still somewhat available and kinda has that WOIN feel to it. You can always run it now and restore it at a later date

That is a B2 and I would try to restore it! If you can snag it cheap, do so now!

I race my B2 with a 14x2 brushed motor and nimh batteries at my local track with great results. Its by far my best buggy.
