RC-10 Worlds Build - Trinity Point Blank Wheels/Tires

Post by Road Burner »

Hi everyone! This ebay find came mostly done I just added a Stealth trans, Trinity Point Blank wheels/tires, and some old radio gear. Some of the parts need some more dye, I used the liquid Rit and it didn't seem as effective as the powder. Is anyone familiar whith these wheels/tires? I'm not sure of the best way to glue them due to the strange bead design. I have a body on the way and would love to hear some paint scheme suggestions!

I would try an bright white with black and red pin stripping. That chassis looks terrific!

I was looking through my old magazines and saw the Point Blank ad. It mentioned that the wheels and tires had a unique bead design that made them better than traditional beads. So you may not even have to glue them. :?

The way the tire joins the wheels is the same as beadlocks, but a ring is not used to secure the tire so they must be glued in some way! I was thinking of trying a thin bead of silicone. It seems that it would be hard to use CA because it takes some time to seat the tires to the wheel properly. Thanks!

Thank you! A lot to do on this one yet, and possibly some rearranging of parts. I don't know if I'm pumping them out or have too many unfinished projects!
