Parts compatibilty of the YR-4 cars
hey guys, got a YR-4 M2 (red shocks) that needs some work, anyone know what the parts compatibilty is like across the YR-4 range? (YR-4, YR-4M, YR-4M2, YR-4 Pro etc etc)
and are there any pickup/nascar race truck style bodies for this style chassis?

Re: Parts compatibilty of the YR-4 cars
Actually I had several cars of the YR-4 series but I don´t remember exactly on the parts. I just have the very first YR-4 here setting in the next room but all of the YR-4M cars were sold long ago. If you are looking for certain parts I could search for any catalogue but I should know what you´re looking for.

Re: Parts compatibilty of the YR-4 cars
cheers, im actually wondering if stuff like a YR-4J Motor mount will fit etc, as my searches seem to bring up far more option parts for the other cars, not so much the M2 version
basically after anything custom/option that will fit

Re: Parts compatibilty of the YR-4 cars
The Ford body I had was pretty cool , but it's a 200mm body, so you should either get the wider axles or use wheels with some offset to make it look perfect.

Or did the M2 come as 200mm already?
For the parts: sorry I don't remember the M2 so well. I think it is mostly still compatible with any YR-4, works 91-93, or even 870C upgrades.
If I remeber well it won't be compatible with the later versions: different moter mount with different length belths and different sized pulleys...

Re: Parts compatibilty of the YR-4 cars
Original YR-4, YR-M and YR-4M2 share some parts. If YR-4J is same as YR-4M2J then there are several changes.
The versions I mentioned above are using the same 2304 magnesium (or later aluminium) motor mount. The YR-4M2J is using a two piece motor mount ZR-304J.

Blue aluminium otermount right?
I made the mistake of buying a spare parts car of that type.
Got it all apart and then found none of the drive train parts were of any use for my YR-4.
It never got back together and is in pieces mixed with other YR-4 parts, boxes of screws, an incomplete YR-F2 and so on

V12 cheers, looks like i'll have to be careful in my selections
Mr.Ed, yep, thats what i was lookin at, i'll have to steer clear then
This protoform body looks the buisness, but since its for Pro10/WGT, im not sure if it will sit on the YR4

will have to measure the wheelbase, see if I can fit it
