I bought my first Tamiya (Brat)

Post by mytimac »

I always wanted a Monster Beetle or Blackfoot back in the early 90s.
Since Tamiya hasn't remade the original Blackfoot I bought the remake Brat.

I know its not totally the same as the Blackfoot, but it was still fun to put together. Man the front suspension on the Brat is terrible compared to the Blackfoot. Didn't really realize when i bought the Brat that there is no shocks on the front.
I took it out to the track recently and took some pictures. I haven't painted the body, not sure if I will any time soon.

So this Losi guy finally tried a Tamiya, and I liked it.

Tamiya Brat is great.

Love mine. Are you going to put the decals on?

Here is a pic of mine with the Lexan shell on the beach. Awesome pic is from Mr Rizzo.

I am probably NOT going to put the decals on.
In fact I am going to run it a little bit more and than probably sell it. I have so much junk in my house right now with RC stuff and my Pinball collection. I fulfilled my childhood desire enough for now. It was fun to put together. Definitely a different experience compared to a more modern buggies and trucks.
