Re: Veterans day
Today was the first time remembrance day was on a day I wasn't working since I had my kids.....I also had my kids this weekend so they wanted to go and see what the ceremonies were all about.
I have made sure in the past few years to answer their questions about war and veterans who have served or are serving.
I tell them that the older vets worry about being forgotten and their sacrifices will be forgotten...
After the ceremony was over I walked up to a senior vet waiting in a car to be driven to the legion hall.
I shook his hand and said thank you..
Without my prompting my 8 & 9 yearolds walked up to him and said "thank you"
I am not sure who had a bigger smile me or the vet.
I am very proud of them and I will do my best to make sure my kids continue this tradition.
Lest we forget

It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Re: Veterans day
Thank you vets, esp my grandfathers who has both served! My mom's dad was on the beaches of Normandy and lived and is still going strong at 90 year old. My dad's dad helped man an armory on an island just off the coast of Halifax, NS. I managed to get on a rare tour of the island and stood in the places he's been.

I would've loved to hear stories from a first-hand account. Thanks for the awesome pics, too.vintage AE wrote: My mom's dad was on the beaches of Normandy and lived and is still going strong at 90 year old.
