The lights flickered, the windows shook and some of the siding blew off the building, but we're safe and sound. We're up high, so no flooding. Other parts of NYC were not so lucky. Lots of flooding and damage. Much of lower Manhattan has no power. The subway is supposed to be out for at least 4 or 5 days. It's pretty bad.

yeah, the shore is just hammered everywhere. The hurricane was originally projected to head right towards us, north and west of philadelphia, a few miles outside of city limits in that direction. The storm pretty much went under us as it came inland. We got a bunch of wind, not as much rain as I expected, and we completely lost power for about 4 or 5 hours, beyond a bunch of brownouts. office was closed yesterday and today, from traveling around the area, lots of places still without power.

thankfully, the power only went out a few times, for a couple seconds, and came back on. my sister lives about 15 blocks up from me and she hasn't had power since last night do to a blown transformer. power is out alot of places. lots of temporary stop signs do to traffic light s not working. luckily, i don't have any property damage, but a lot of homes/garages will need new roofs do to torn off shingles. lots of uprooted trees, downed powerlines/poles.

this is my parents house. in the first pic, those 2 pine trees fell across the road around 10:30 last night. my dad didn't see the other 3 until this morning.

Ouch! That sucks! Glad you guy's made it through that ordeal. Now you have some trees to clean up.

The power kept constantly going off and on from 4:00-8:00 yesterday afternoon and then stayed off from 8:00 last night until 10:30 this morning. It was not fun at all to say the least but could have been worse like the storms last year.

All clear here in northern VA, Our power company just came threw and trimmed back trees from the power lines in the last month, we never lost power (Kinda weird, we always loose power), now i'm just waiting for the Shenandoah river to crest to see if i get stuck away from home or at home lol, both ways out of my house go next to the river lol

Nothing really happened here, just rain and high winds. Maybe they did a better job controlling the rivers this time, not sure :?

Last year's flood was labeled a disaster, happy that our community didn't have to go through all that again. Many businesses still haven't fully recovered from last year. :(

Everything is fine here in Central PA; no power loss and no damage. That impresses me, considering the storm was forecast to track directly overhead.
