Post by squirrelnutz »

I got a Blackfoot off EBay and it came with these axle carriers. Can someone help me identify them.

That was my first impression too but I just wanted to make sure. Looks to be cut from a block of delrin. If it is home made, he did a good job.

They seem pretty beefy. I'm going to use them on my Monster Beetle!

They are not homemade. I have a set on my Monster Beetle and my Black Foot. IIRC, they were made by MRP, or possibly even Race Prep now that I think of it. The old steering arms would break so easily while racing. The nylon ones are bullet proof.

Kinda hard to see on my Beetle tho...

Over the years I've had a few Blackfoots come and go that had them and I never gave it too much thought until now... I always thought it was just a popular and easy modification to do. I never considered they were actually manufactured by a company.

I've also got a pair laying around here. I always thought they were homemade too!
