I saw RPM, I couldnt figure out why they were "hollow" in the middle. Just threw me for a loop...now I feel like that chassis...broken

Thanks again, I've had this since I was 13 and from memory I had two one graphite and one rc10t both were fairly old and well used at the time but I ended up taking all the (in the eyes of a 13 year old) "best bits" to make one decent one and one which I sold on.
Can someone tell me what other parts aren't quite right, are RPM parts lower quality to originals? I think I will replace the shock towers with fibre lyte ones but not sure which ones to go for?
Also the suspension is very spongy how would I go about an overhaul, and where can I get new springs
