ID rc10 buggy please
ID rc10 buggy please
Hello all, I am new here. I have been off and on in this hobby for 18 or 19 years now. Some of the cars I have now predate myself. Even my first car (losi LXT) was being phased out when I first got into this stuff for the xxt and xx buggies. Anyways, I have come accross some old rc10 buggies. I know a little about them but not their timelines or certainly not all the optional parts for them. The least common one I have has a fiberglass/carbon upper and lower deck, later trans and team shocks I believe? here are some pictures, Thanks for helping me ID this thing

Re: ID rc10 buggy please
Could be either, they both made them the same for a while- but RCPS made them more common. Looks some A&L towers on that buggy as well (or maybe a pro se rear?)
Re: ID rc10 buggy please
Thanks guys, now that I know some of that I can search about it. Will any of the early bodies fit this or will I need something special to fit the chassis?

Most any RC10 shells, although the Protech will be tough with that rear tower-
A maybe the JRX-pro se shell as well?

Re: ID rc10 buggy please
is the gold rear motor plate incorrect on this thing? should I find a black one? it at least looks out of place to me but again, Im not sure of timelines and things. Also, I'm not opposed to finding a correct rear shock tower if that would make the buggy more correct/ desirable.
Re: ID rc10 buggy please
did associated make a black motor guard or was it only included in a whole tub?

Re: ID rc10 buggy please
are you talking about the motor plate or the motor guard/chassis brace? if you're talking about the motor guard, they're built into a tub/pan chassis. the only cars that used them were the rc10 graphite and they only came in gold. the rc10 graphite cars had gold motor plates too.
rpm got those guards from associated (raw i would think) and anodized them black for use in the ultra molded kits.

Yeah, I meant the rear most lower chassis extension/guard. I imagine then its pretty normal to have the gold one on here then?! Thanks again
