now THAT was innovation (Cross Boss)

Post by Lonestar »

Right, this is a vintage RC site, correct? so here's a vintage ad... granted, we're not talking racecars here... still, when I stumbled upon that one on rcmoustache.blogspot.ch (Salut Nicolas!!!) I nearly fell off my chair. This was freaking brilliant and in 1986 ANYTHING rc would sell like hot cakes!

Toys in the 80's (like most everything else in my opinion) were the greatest! I had a lot of fun with this truck.

Here are two others from Galoob that I also owned:

I still remember those 'animal' commercials. Back then it seemed like the ultimate 'fun' truck.

Yeah the 80's rocked man! :D

I love the old toy adverts :)

I had one of these as a kid, it's probably up in my parents loft somewhere. I'll have to dig it out next time i'm over :D

Man! I miss the 80s :D

That Cross Boss is really quite something! Not sure how well it would REALLY work, or if it would actually get over stuff that a toy grade rock crawler wouldn't... But the bridge action is still hella cool!!!
