Shout out from Australia to anyone in the US

Post by stephenianjames »

Hey guys,

I have a BIG favour to ask. There is a set of front and rear Andy's wide track arms on ebay US, however I cannot even contact the seller to enquire about posting OS (it seems as though he's placed a US only restriction on the item). Pretty much no-one knows me around this forum (but hoping to make myself known with some forthcoming builds) but I was hoping that someone in the US would be able to help me out with the purchase of these arms. Basically the price is $45 including shipping within the US. If I was to PP gift someone say $65 that would cover the purchase of the arms plus postage to Australia, and leave a few bucks change...not massive wages I know but would cover it.

If someone would be willing to help me in the transaction I'd be most grateful. I have traded and spoken with a couple of folks on this forum - J.M. (formerly Bormac) and HCP22 (Lars, the Kyosho guru from Sweden) whom I'm sure could vouch for me.

This is a longshot, but whoever helps will receive a lifetime of good karma and happy leprechauns leading them to big pots of gold etc...please PM me and I'll send PP payment and the ebay item number etc.

BTW the arms (if I manage to get them) will be put onto a fibrelyte tub chassis with TPS chain drive tansmission and a few other goddies, so it should be a nice build.

Cheers,

Steve

same here.

maybe we should have a sticky somewhere listing us members that are willing to help our good friends overseas?
shipping overseas is no big deal, i don't get why people have such issue with it.

do you think its a bad twilight zone episode for team associated to be re producing a buggy from yesteryear that is capable of beating their latest and greatest production buggy?

$45 for a set of andy's arms sounds a bit rediculous to me. but if you want to over pay for them, i'll sell you a set for the same price.

Kaiser,

I like your thinking. Being in the UK I am always looking at eBay US with envious eyes as to what is available for the RC10

Maybe we (in the UK) could offer a similar service, say with JCRacing wheels and Fibrelyte products....:)
